Trace the record. See the connections.

Rotate the globe, move into the flat world map, follow the source-linked documentary trail, and inspect each source family before drawing conclusions. Locations are geographic references, not allegations about activity at those coordinates.

Compare two records

Select up to two documentary records to see whether they share a source family. Matching source IDs mean reuse, not independent corroboration.

SOURCE DEPENDENCY ANALYSIS

Document-family crosswalk

Checking source independence…

Each document family is counted once even when indexed at several places. Source-host categories do not authenticate original pages, and multiple family identifiers do not by themselves establish independent corroboration. Select a family to inspect every mapped placement and its original source warnings.

How to read the map. The map records documentary associations with places; it is not a record of where individuals traveled unless the underlying source independently establishes a particular journey. The year filter uses the canonical index-year field; event dates, document dates, later findings and publication dates are not interchangeable and must be checked individually in the cited records. The single Paris–Teterboro line represents an official reported arrival, not independent aircraft tracking; institutional lines are legal connections only. This public observatory displays newly sourced Natural Earth 1:110m public-domain coastline geometry. The preserved original Atlas's inherited geometry has separate provenance and rights still under review. Made with Natural Earth: source and terms.
